ALT5 Sigma, the digital asset treasury firm for WLFI, saw its stock price fall 96% on Friday after its deal with WLFI was announced. Eric Trump was a board observer there.

The company, operated by AI Financial Corporation, plummeted from $8.97 before the deal to $0.35 after the news broke.

The connections between the two companies go beyond Trump's involvement. ALT5 Sigma counts World Liberty co-founder Zachary Folkman as a director, and its chairman is Zach Witkoff, who also serves as World Liberty's CEO.

Additionally, Zach Witkoff's father, Steve Witkoff, serves as Donald Trump's special envoy to the Middle East.

In August, ALT5 Sigma's holdings of WLFI tokens became transferrable after being unlocked.

The firm was also referenced in an indictment from several months ago, at which time it was acting as the virtual asset service provider for Mugan Markets, a foreign exchange brokerage.

No misconduct by ALT5 Sigma is alleged in the indictment; the company is only named as a service provider.
