Aster (ASTER) holds the largest wallet count among perpetual decentralized exchange tokens launched in the last year, with approximately 256,000 addresses.

Data released on Thursday ranked seven perp DEX tokens by their holder numbers. The list ranges from Aster at the top to Paradex, which recorded 582 holders.

Aster's Holder Base Far Exceeds Its Perp DEX Competitors

The ranking, put together by CryptoRank, includes tokens whose generation events took place within the past 12 months.

RollX (ROLL), a perpetuals platform on the Base network, came in second with 50,300 holders. GRVT (GRVT) followed at 30,900, and edgeX (EDGE) at 16,100.

Lighter (LIT) secured fifth place with 7,300 holders. Backpack (BP) recorded 5,100, while Paradex (DIME) brought up the rear at 582.

Holder counts do not reflect market value in this case. Lighter boasts a $1.08 billion market capitalization, second only to Aster's $1.94 billion, despite its smaller holder base. It signed a revenue-sharing agreement with Circle in February that attracted institutional interest.

Token Prices Fall Short of Holder Growth

The price picture tells a different story. ASTER traded near $0.719 on Friday, down 0.20% over 24 hours. That puts the ASTER price roughly 70% below its record of $2.41 from September 2025.

All tokens in the group are trading below their all-time highs. Paradex's DIME dropped 19% to approximately $0.0101, about 86% below its March peak. GRVT traded at $0.160, around 65% below its July high.

Several names saw gains on Friday. EDGE jumped 36% to $0.629 after edgeX became the flagship perpetuals platform on Arc, Circle's blockchain. LIT rose 12% to $4.34.

Backpack's BP added 6% to $0.452, and RollX's ROLL gained 8.5% to $0.129.

The sector has undergone multiple shifts this year, with perp DEX volume leadership changing several times. Aster now has the broadest distribution, although prices across the group have not followed the same trend.
