MetaMask begins exit of 17,000 validators following $1.4B ETH reward theft
MetaMask is exiting 17,000 Ethereum validators after a security incident saw block rewards sent to a Tornado Cash-funded address, spiking the ETH exit queue.
Breez updated its SDK so apps can let users receive USDT and USDC across 30 networks, converting to bitcoin or stable balances.
Stablecoins, though often referred to as digital dollars, can be unwieldy. Operating across multiple crypto networks, they demand distinct digital wallets, a hurdle that can deter both newcomers and experienced bitcoin users.
Bitcoin software firm Breez has addressed this. Applications constructed on its Breez SDK are now able to let users holding a bitcoin balance receive stablecoin payments originating from more than 30 networks.
Receive USDT/USDC is LIVE in the Breez SDK
Get paid in dollars, straight to your bitcoin or dollar balance.
Users can now receive @USDC or USDT from 30+ networks, including Ethereum, Base, Solana, and Tron.
One balance. No new chain to integrate. Value moving like…

The Breez SDK acts as a developer toolkit, enabling applications to integrate bitcoin payments without requiring them to construct the underlying payment infrastructure. It manages wallet creation, sending and receiving, and Lightning Network transactions. Developers can deliver bitcoin functionalities with just a few lines of code, avoiding the need to operate nodes or handle liquidity.
According to Breez's Monday announcement, the receiver selects the sender's network and specifies an amount. The SDK then creates a deposit address and displays what the sender will receive, while the sender pays from their standard wallet as usual.
Flashnet handles the conversion in the background, and the funds arrive in the receiver's non-custodial wallet either as bitcoin or, if the stable balance option is utilized, as dollars.
Breez introduced its send USDT/USDC capability back in June. This latest update means a single Breez-backed balance can now transfer stablecoins in both directions across almost any network.
This addition represents the most recent in a sequence of usability enhancements, following Passkey Login, instant Cash App onboarding, and Stable Balance.
Breez continues layering on features to make bitcoin applications resemble conventional fintech applications: passkey login replacing seed phrases, immediate onboarding, balances in dollar terms, and now cross-chain stablecoin transfers. Breez's app Glow, unveiled in August, serves as the reference app demonstrating the SDK's capabilities.
In July, Breez revealed a partnership with Turnkey. This arrangement allows developers to incorporate non-custodial Bitcoin into applications that run wallets from their own servers, tackling a custody hurdle that has prevented many of the largest consumer platforms from adopting Bitcoin.
