XRP sinks under $1.30 support on bearish derivatives data
XRP fell below $1.30 on Thursday, with long-to-short ratio at 0.82 and sell-side dominance persisting.
LINK kept leaving Binance for 18 days, but the price still fell 20.8% in October, and US Chainlink ETFs saw no net inflows for 8 sessions.
For 18 consecutive days, Chainlink (LINK) has been moving out of Binance, the kind of steady drain that bulls normally welcome. The token’s price, though, has gone the other way, losing 20.8% so far in October.
A closer look takes some shine off the run: a sizable inflow predated it and could account for a chunk of what followed. US spot Chainlink ETF buyers, meanwhile, have stayed quiet since the middle of October.
Analyst MorenoDV_ was the one who drew attention to the run, describing patient accumulation as a possible reason behind it. In his telling, a steady drip of tokens leaving the platform reduces the amount of LINK that remains there.
Before that stretch, Binance had seen roughly 8.7 million LINK arrive on a net basis. The analyst suggested that portion of the exits could simply be the earlier influx moving elsewhere. At the same time, he pushed back on the idea that the token movements proved purchases were taking place.
“For Binance, persistent negative netflows point to declining token availability. But price has continued falling, showing that this supply shift has yet to translate into sustained buying strength,” the post read.
CryptoQuant puts LINK reserves on all trading platforms at 124.2 million, a level close to the one seen before the deposit.
US spot Chainlink funds give a day-by-day look at whether fresh demand has shown up. SoSoValue numbers show these products sitting at zero net flows for 8 trading sessions in a row.
The group’s most recent flow was a withdrawal of roughly $397,000 on October 16. October 9 marked the funds’ best day for inflows, bringing in $9.48 million. From $249.4 million on September 28, the funds’ combined net assets slipped to $209.5 million by October 28.
Since the figures show no fresh buyers, this year’s earlier moves offer a clue to what has lifted the altcoin. CryptoQuant’s numbers also reveal LINK reserves on exchanges swelling and then emptying during April and June. An advance followed the June episode, and outside catalysts were present at the same time.
A $200 LINK target by 2030 was set by Standard Chartered in August. Late September then brought Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) 2.0 upgrade, after which LINK moved past $15.
Absent an equivalent trigger, the near-term calendar does not provide much assistance. LINK has lost 20.8% in October, according to CryptoRank, and the median November return stands at -10.5%.
LINK fetched $11.34 on BeInCrypto Markets, and several price levels close by could determine how November plays out.
MorenoDV_ argued that the indicator turns constructive once withdrawals persist, the price stabilizes, and spot demand picks up. If lower lows continue, he added, the divergence would remain an early supply signal rather than a reversal.
