Cregis will host the Institutional Onchain Finance Summit 2026 in Singapore on 6 October, with co-hosts FOMO Pay, Stable and Width.
Stablecoins are being used more widely beyond crypto trading, in areas such as payments, settlement and cross-border finance. With rising adoption, institutions are now focusing on managing onchain funds, integrating digital assets into current operations and maintaining security.
Digital asset infrastructure firm Cregis will stage the Institutional Onchain Finance Summit 2026 in Singapore on 6 October, taking place during TOKEN2049 Week. Co-hosts include global payment solutions company FOMO Pay, stablecoin payments infrastructure firm Stable and AI-native compliance platform Width.
FUTURECLOUD, AWS and Avenia are sponsoring the event, which will draw executives and practitioners from financial services, payments, stablecoins, digital asset infrastructure and security.
Stablecoins are playing an expanding part in payments and settlement, encompassing cross-border transactions and corporate treasury. Attention has moved from adoption to execution — how stablecoins integrate into current financial workflows and infrastructure.
That theme will guide the summit's initial discussion, "What Stablecoins Mean for Banks, Businesses and the Wider Economy." Panelists from across the payments and financial ecosystem include FOMO Pay Co-Founder Zack Yang, MetaComp Co-President and COO Eddie Hui, Tether Regional Expansion Lead Andres Kim and Avenia Founder and COO Leandro Noel. Chiara Munaretto of Stablecoin Insider will moderate.
The session will examine how stablecoins are used in payments, financial services and treasury, along with the implications of broader adoption for banks and businesses.
As these applications grow, supporting infrastructure must manage increasingly complex fund flows. Institutions must consider areas beyond asset issuance and transfers, including counterparty coordination, access controls, transaction execution and everyday operations.
That operational change also shifts the security challenge. When digital assets become part of larger business workflows, risks can emerge across signing systems, access controls, third-party infrastructure and human processes, not just wallets or smart contracts.
In the second panel, "The New Security Playbook: How Attacks & Defences Are Evolving Across Digital Assets," the summit will address this changing threat landscape. Speakers include Michael Chen, Non-Executive Director at 1exchange; Jason Jiang, CBO of CertiK; Dmytro Matviiv, CEO of HackenProof; and Alexandra Wang, Head of Strategic Partnerships at ZAN. They will discuss how attacks are changing and where institutions need to improve prevention, monitoring and incident response.
Automation and AI are also reshaping how attacks are carried out and detected, adding another dimension to an already complex operating environment.
The programme will include keynotes from Cregis COO Jason Ma, Width CEO and Co-Founder Chye Kit Chionh, Stable CEO Brian Mehler and Injective CEO and Co-founder Eric Chen. Their talks will offer perspectives from infrastructure providers working across payments, stablecoins and institutional onchain finance.
For Cregis, the summit signals a broader market shift. As businesses incorporate digital assets into payments, treasury and other financial workflows, infrastructure must support more than blockchain connectivity. Wallets, fund flows, governance and security controls are increasingly becoming part of the operating layer.
The Institutional Onchain Finance Summit 2026 aims to consolidate these issues in a single forum, with speakers from financial institutions, payment providers, stablecoin firms, infrastructure providers and security companies sharing practical experience across markets and business models.
