Tether acknowledges money at troubled EQIBank, says stake is minimal
Tether confirms funds stuck at EQIBank, says exposure is less than 0.034% of total assets. USDT peg holds.
Ethereum posted its first higher high in over a year, hitting $2,807, but the daily RSI's lower highs point to waning momentum.
ETH has now registered a higher high for the first time in more than a year. It has also cleared a resistance zone that had stopped earlier rallies on multiple occasions. What does that mean for the price of Ethereum? Will this cycle take it beyond $3,000?
Benjamin Cowen, a crypto analyst, says Ethereum has made its way back into its long-term logarithmic regression band, a range he uses to judge where ETH sits compared with its historical trend.
“At least this cycle I don’t have to spend the whole time calling for ETH to go home, considering it’s already there.”
The analyst has expressed support for dollar-cost averaging through the second half of the US midterm year, while keeping some room for another market shock in late Q4.
Corporate treasuries, meanwhile, are continuing to add ETH.
In August 2025, Ethereum topped out close to $4,957. Subsequent major rallies all finished with a lower high.
That run of lower highs has now snapped. ETH reached $2,807 this week, and the former resistance around $2,438 is now serving as support. On the weekly chart, RSI has advanced to 64. If the price clears $2,920, the case for an advance toward $3,400 would gain strength.
Momentum is the concern. ETH keeps printing higher highs while the daily RSI posts lower highs, a pattern traders call bearish divergence. It can indicate that an uptrend is losing steam.
Trading volume is declining as well.
The key line now sits around $2,440. As long as that support holds, the bullish structure remains valid. A break below it could open the 1,950–2,000 zone.
