Trezor Cuts Reseller Network in Supply-Chain Security Push
Trezor is shrinking its reseller network and adding supply-chain checks after reports that a Ledger wallet sold via CryptoBilis contained spyware.
Two Ethereum Foundation-linked wallets sent 4,393 ETH to Kraken, raising questions about a possible sale. Onchain data shows a long history of such transfers.
Two wallets associated with the Ethereum Foundation transferred 4,393 ETH, valued at roughly $11.13 million, to Kraken. While an exchange deposit alone isn't proof of a sale, this transfer extends a pattern seen over the past decade.
These wallets originally received 59,751 ETH from an Ethereum Foundation (EF) wallet around ten years ago, when onchain analytics firm Lookonchain notes ETH was trading at $0.90. Neither post indicates that the ETH sent to Kraken was actually sold.
Onchain analysts report that 49,751 ETH from the original batch has been deposited to Kraken over the last ten years, at an average price of approximately $658.
Is the #EthereumFoundation dumping $ETH again?

This leaves 10,000 ETH from the 59,751 ETH allocation, though neither post specifies where that remainder is held.
Lookonchain presented the transfer as an open question, asking whether the foundation is once again dumping ETH.
Deposits can come before sales, but the posts only show transfers, not completed trades.
The EF's June 2025 policy sets annual spending at 15% of its treasury and a reserve for 2.5 years of operating costs, with a planned reduction toward 5% over five years. It notes those targets will be reassessed as conditions shift.
The policy also states that the foundation periodically evaluates how much ETH, if any, to sell in the coming three months. Sales typically occur through fiat off-ramps, which convert crypto to traditional currency, or via onchain swaps.
In April, the EF announced a 5,000 ETH conversion on X, executed through CoW Swap, a platform that spreads large orders over time.
Neither post about the Kraken deposits references an EF statement.
That gap leaves onchain observers interpreting wallet labels without official confirmation. As long as sales follow a periodic pattern, transfers like this may continue to prompt the same question before an answer emerges.
