Gate's Q3 2026 report shows September derivatives volume of $396 billion, a 38.2% month-over-month gain, ranking the exchange third globally.
Gate, a prominent global digital asset exchange, has published its Q3 2026 Report, detailing faster progress across multi-asset trading, wealth management, institutional services and infrastructure amid the accelerating merger of crypto and traditional finance. Through the three-month period, the platform kept growing on key trading and asset management benchmarks, reinforcing its integrated financial services ecosystem.
Momentum held in both derivatives and spot trading. September derivatives volume came to $396 billion, according to CoinDesk data, up 38.2% month over month, putting Gate in the top three centralized derivatives exchanges worldwide with a 10.1% market share. Spot volume in the same month reached $48.8 billion, a 21.9% monthly increase, while the platform's RWA perpetuals share stood at 9.1%, third globally. Quarterly ETF turnover approached 60 billion USDT, options volume gained 23.8% quarter over quarter, and new trading users rose 52.1%, reflecting a steadily expanding trading product mix.
Within TradFi, Gate broadened its stock and ETF coverage to more than 12,800 instruments across four major markets: the U.S., Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan. Tokenized equities also advanced, with gStocks trading volume above 2.5 billion USDT in August. During Q3, the exchange continued enhancing CFD multi-asset trading, Pre-IPOs and IPO Access, and added U.S. Stock Options, Stock Copy Trading and Stock Event Contracts, giving traditional financial assets more digital trading pathways.
On wealth management, Simple Earn's total AUM went past $1.85 billion, up more than 24% quarter on quarter, and Staking's peak AUM topped $1.27 billion, a rise of over 57% from the close of Q2. The newly introduced Idle Earn, which generates yield automatically on USDT, USDC and USD1, has drawn more than $300 million in total holdings so far. Ecosystem incentives kept expanding: Launchpool ran 17 projects in Q3, with FOLD closing at an APR above 580%, while CandyDrop staged 13 airdrop campaigns distributing about $2 million in rewards.
Institutional services and infrastructure saw Gate CrossEx record a 63% quarterly gain in trading volume, a 902% surge in retained assets and roughly 315% growth in active trading users. Gate simultaneously advanced upgrades to Perp DEX, Gate Layer, Gate Card and Gate.AI, moving into on-chain derivatives, digital payments and AI-powered investment research.
On security and compliance, October data put Gate's total reserve assets at $8.688 billion, with an overall reserve ratio of 118.49%. Cumulative GT burns have reached around 192 million GT, a 63.98% cut from the original total supply. The company also strengthened compliance under frameworks such as Europe's MiCA and Dubai's VARA, now operating in 81 regulated jurisdictions worldwide.
For brand and ecosystem, Gate held a side event at Coinfest Asia 2026 devoted to AI, multi-asset investing and industry trends. Nearly 200 industry leaders, ecosystem partners and top creators came together at the Gate Voyage Bali Gala to deepen international partnerships. Gate also expanded its content ecosystem of Gate Research, Gate Learn and Gate Blog, producing more research and education on macroeconomics, RWA, AI and global stocks to support industry-wide knowledge sharing.
Overall, Q3 represented meaningful progress for Gate in trading scale, TradFi, wealth management and institutional services. As crypto and traditional finance converge faster, Gate is building stronger synergies across trading, yield, payments and AI research on the road to a comprehensive, multi-asset financial services platform.
Founded in 2013 by Dr. Han, Gate is one of the world's foremost cryptocurrency and integrated financial services platforms, spanning asset management, trading and payments across financial and daily-life applications.
