Zoomex's September on-chain report details TradFi expansion, stable reserves ($34-38M), volume swings, and community growth to 82,319.
Gate's September report: 62M users, multi-asset growth, ETF/derivatives volume gains, and Web3 expansion.
Gate, a prominent digital asset exchange, published its transparency report for September 2026. During the month, the platform's worldwide registered users crossed 62 million, a significant milestone. At the same time, it kept broadening its multi-asset trading, wealth management and Web3 services. With its catalogue now spanning stocks, ETFs, forex, precious metals and commodities, Gate is moving past pure crypto trading and pulling together asset trading, fund management and everyday payments.
By September, Gate listed more than 5,300 digital assets and upwards of 12,800 stocks and ETFs. It placed among the world's two largest exchanges for spot trading and within the top three for derivatives. The exchange is also adding depth to its multi-asset offering across spot, derivatives, stocks, contracts for difference (CFDs) and other traditional finance (TradFi) instruments, giving users a wider selection.
On the equities side, Gate introduced US stock options in September, starting with nine widely traded underlying assets. These contracts settle in USDT, have no physical delivery, and come with no platform fees or options commissions. Separately, gStocks enables round-the-clock trading of over 70 tokenized securities, each backed on a 1:1 basis by the underlying share, widening the door to tokenized assets.
A number of trading segments grew in the month. Gate's ETF turnover neared 20 billion USDT across 424 trading pairs. Futures volume tied to CandyDrop surpassed $11.8 billion. Gate Trenches saw trading volume jump 47.18% month over month and new users climb 105.09%. That product lets users trade assets on more than 15 blockchain networks using USDT held in their Gate accounts, and it was connected to the Arc blockchain on its launch day in September. Web3 activity picked up as well: Meme Go volume rose 77.55% month over month and Gate Swap volume grew 30.75%.
Institutional services and infrastructure also made progress. CrossEx posted a 200% month-over-month gain in trading volume and a 37.3% rise in retained funds, both at record levels. The platform kept widening its range of derivatives, conventional stocks and ETFs, and improved market data feeds and order execution to serve professional traders and institutions demanding higher performance.
Within wealth management, Gate Simple Earn drew cumulative subscriptions of $2.31 billion, up 42.05% from the prior month, and its total value locked (TVL) peaked at $1.855 billion during September. Gate Staking closed the month with $1.557 billion in TVL, a 15.85% month-over-month gain. The firm also pushed forward with payments and AI-assisted research. Gate Card broadened its use for cross-border purchases and AI subscription payments, while Gate.AI pulled together market data, news, portfolio details and intelligent analytics to support research on market moves and global equities.
Gate also built on its global brand and community ties. In September, it put out a brand film titled One Gate, Every Trade: The Journey Continues, marking its progress since its 2013 founding. Programs and events such as Gate Voyage, the Gate Charity Blue Future Gala and the Gate Talk series deepened links with users and industry partners. Meanwhile, Gate Research, Gate Learn and Gate Blog kept producing expert material on digital assets, TradFi, AI and asset tokenization.
External research also pointed to Gate's advances in multi-asset trading. RootData Research's 2026 Crypto TradFi Landscape Report listed Gate with 1,022 TradFi assets, first among the exchanges it surveyed. According to CoinMarketCap's RWA report, Gate's RWA perpetual futures volume hit $64.8 billion, third-highest among centralized exchanges worldwide. Those findings underline Gate's growing footprint in asset coverage and newer trading segments.
As digital assets weave further into conventional finance, exchanges are now competing on asset breadth, trading tools, fund management and user services rather than single products. Gate says it will keep widening its multi-asset catalogue and financial services, reinforce its trading infrastructure and product integration, and maintain its focus on security, transparency and compliance, all to offer a wider, smoother financial services experience to users worldwide.
