HYPE recovers after inflation-driven selloff

On Friday, Hyperliquid's HYPE climbed back toward $82, shaking off a drop during the session while fresh institutional trading offerings captured notice.

At writing time, HYPE was changing hands near $81.88, a gain of 0.8% in the past day. Before that, it had dropped to roughly $77.59 in the wake of a US inflation report that surpassed forecasts.

The Producer Price Index for September climbed 6.3% on a yearly basis, above the 5.3% forecast. That unexpected print revived worries about the Fed's path for rates and pressured assets seen as riskier.

The bulk of HYPE's liquidation damage was borne by leveraged longs. According to CoinGlass data, about $7 million of long positions were liquidated, versus $810,000 on the short side.

Even with the bounce taking HYPE back above $80, it stayed under key near-term moving averages.

Ripple said on Thursday that real-world asset perpetual swaps had been introduced by Ripple Prime, spanning more than 100 reference markets.

Included in the lineup are equities, equity indices, ETFs, metals, energy and foreign exchange. Clients can trade and settle at any hour, weekends included.

These swaps track Trade.xyz perpetual futures that are listed on Hyperliquid. Ripple Prime serves as the principal counterparty, so institutional clients gain access via its brokerage services instead of trading directly on the decentralized venue.

The move deepens the ties between institutional brokerage and Hyperliquid's derivatives backbone. Still, the rollout does not by itself mean demand for HYPE will rise immediately or directly.

RLUSD collateral and cross-margining back the launch

Qualified clients may post Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin as collateral for these swaps. Ripple Prime additionally enables cross-margining across eligible asset classes, letting institutions handle margin needs and portfolio risk over several positions.

Depending on a portfolio and the governing rules, offsetting positions could lower margin demands.

Ripple said Virtu, a market maker, is one institution already active on the products.

At present, the service runs under Ripple Prime's CIV BVI license. Ripple intends to broaden availability to other regions but has not given a timeline.

In a separate move, EQX Labs said it plans to launch 11 tokenized US stock and ETF markets on Hyperliquid's HyperCore infrastructure.

Among the planned names are Apple, Nvidia, Amazon and Tesla, plus ETFs tied to major US markets.

EQX says the tokens will be listed on Hyperliquid's public order book, with each one backed by custody-held shares.

Those proposed instruments are distinct from the perpetual swaps cited by Ripple Prime. Combined, the efforts illustrate how a wider array of traditional-market exposure is taking shape around Hyperliquid.

HYPE meets a barrier at the 50-day EMA

On the daily chart, HYPE still has a mildly bearish cast even after the bounce. It is trading above the 100-day EMA at $76.30, yet sits beneath the 50-day EMA at $83.10 and the 20-day EMA at $85.40.

This setup indicates that support on a longer horizon is still holding, while upward moves in the near term run into resistance overhead.

RSI is close to 43, under the neutral 50 level. The Stochastic Oscillator sits near 20, a sign of soft momentum approaching oversold conditions though not yet confirming a turnaround.

Resistance comes first at $83.10. Beyond that, the $85 horizontal level and the 20-day EMA at $85.40 combine as the next ceiling. A durable break above those points would put $97.80 in view.

To the downside, the $76.30 100-day EMA and $75.70 horizontal support make up a key protective zone. If that region gives way, support could be tested at $67.60, followed by $61.10 and $51.50.
