On Monday, CNBC's Jim Cramer labeled CrowdStrike stock a “MUST BUY,” citing a message from the company's founder and CEO, George Kurtz, about securing artificial intelligence (AI).

Kurtz claimed that no one can decelerate the AI frontier. Consequently, he insisted that defenders need to thwart attacks in real time rather than drafting policy documents.

Kurtz: Autonomous Campaigns Now Dictate the Tempo

Kurtz's comments came in response to an essay from Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, who called on AI labs to slow the frontier's progress. OpenAI's Sam Altman concurred, and other AI leaders echoed the appeal a few days later.

Amodei proposed that labs bring in external evaluators with staff-level access. Both Anthropic and OpenAI have pledged to take that step. Kurtz said CrowdStrike will contribute front-line data to those discussions.

Kurtz embraced the objective but disputed the timeframe. Attacks, he wrote, no longer originate from lone hackers but from coordinated AI agents that execute entire campaigns at machine speed.

“The unit of threat is no longer the hacker. It’s an autonomous campaign. I call it the Agent-state,” George Kurtz, said.

He also mentioned SafeMind, an agentic defense system that CrowdStrike and Nvidia introduced on Sept. 1. The team says it learns from every attack it thwarts.

Cramer passed along the thread as the most important post his followers would encounter on a MUST BUY stock.

CrowdStrike Stock Cools After a Robust Year

CrowdStrike's shares closed Friday at $206.74. However, the stock has dipped 6% over the past month, even though it still holds a 74.46% gain for 2026.

Late August marked the recent peak. Record quarterly results fueled a sharp uptick as companies expanded their security budgets, yet the stock has pulled back since.

Cramer isn't bullish across the board, though. He likened this market to 2018 and advised investors to reduce their winners rather than sell off in panic.

That makes CrowdStrike an outlier in his current approach. He has backed the sector in the past, naming cybersecurity among his 2026 investing themes in August.

Early investors seem to concur. CrowdStrike traded at $214.72 in overnight trading, up 3.86%.

The next few weeks will reveal whether Kurtz's front-line argument keeps buyers on his side, or if the August peak remains out of reach.
