Justin Sun sues actress Jing Tian over disputed egg donation deal

Justin Sun has filed a lawsuit against Chinese actress Jing Tian, known to US audiences for her appearances in Kong: Skull Island and Pacific Rim Uprising. In a lengthy X post, Sun alleged he treated the actress to fine dining and offered her 30 million yuan ($4.5 million) for her eggs.

Sun claims Jing accepted the 30 million yuan but then refused to supply the eggs unless he paid an additional 20 million yuan ($3 million). The case has been taken to court in China, according to Sun.

Jing has denied the allegations through her studio.

Unusual dispute aired publicly

Whatever the merits of each side's case, Sun has made a private matter very public.

Jing released a statement asserting that Sun is trying to "use [her] reputation as leverage" and that "all matters [involving Sun] will be handled by the court."

Sources following the case on Chinese social media and in court filings say Sun has taken steps to prevent Jing from moving her assets, ensuring he could recover his money if he wins.

Sun stated that he sent Jing to a five-star resort in Laguna Beach for egg extraction, but she left without undergoing the procedure.

When Jing demanded more money, Sun said he turned to Claude for advice. The AI reportedly told him not to pay, and he complied.

The case could damage both sides if it proceeds: surrogacy is illegal in China, and if Sun sought Jing's eggs and she agreed to provide them, both could potentially face fines or imprisonment.
