KuCoin has launched KuCoin 5.0, adding AI-driven tools, a unified trading account for eligible users, accessibility features and expanded wealth management…
The cryptocurrency exchange has presented KuCoin 5.0, a wide-ranging platform overhaul that combines AI, trading tools, wealth management services and accessibility features in a push to improve how users interact with the platform.
Unveiled on October 9, 2026, the update spans six categories: compliance, technology, assets, experience, AI and wealth management.
The changes are designed, according to the company, to deliver a more unified and efficient platform, extending its worldwide brand campaign “Trust, Built-in,” and the “Trust First. Trade Next.” promise.
Users get a refreshed interface, a larger AI assistant and fresh options for handling money across trading and wealth management.
Part of KuCoin 5.0 is an updated Profile Center 2.0, whose card-based layout is meant to make account details and commonly used tools simpler to reach.
The exchange's sub-account system has also been improved, with the aim of making account setup easier, tightening security controls and enhancing administration.
K-line charts have been beefed up with more tools and live data, and chart settings are now synced across devices.
A colour vision accessibility mode is new to the platform, helping people with varying colour vision needs tell charts and other visual content apart more easily.
Around 360 million people globally have some trouble distinguishing colours, according to KuCoin's estimate.
Both Lite and Pro experiences remain in place so that users with different levels of experience and different trading needs can choose what suits them.
Eligible VIP1 and higher users now have access to the Unified Trading Account (UTA), which merges spot, margin and futures trading into a single structure for capital, margin and risk management. By doing so, the exchange said, users need to move money between separate accounts less often and can put capital to work more efficiently across eligible products.
The 5.0 release also refreshes AI Assistant 5.x, giving users one place across KuCoin for conversations, queries and getting tasks done.
It now spans market insights, Earn services, trading, customer support and campaigns.
By drawing on page context and user behaviour, the assistant can grasp what users need, suggest relevant offerings and support task completion.
The AI integration, according to the company, is meant to run through the whole user journey instead of functioning as a separate tool.
Earning and trading are being connected by the update via wealth management products and VIP perks, Earn access through sub-accounts and support for chosen wealth assets inside the UTA framework.
Main and sub-accounts are both able to take part in Earn while their funds remain managed independently.
KCUSD, meanwhile, can serve as margin inside the Unified Trading Account, cutting down on repeated transfers of funds between earning and trading.
These developments rest on ongoing work in the exchange's compliance, technology and asset bases, KuCoin said.
“Trust should be something users can experience in every interaction—not only in how their assets are protected, but in how clearly, reliably and efficiently the platform works,” said BC Wong, CEO of KuCoin.
In Wong's view, KuCoin 5.0 turns the company's longstanding focus on trust into a product, giving users more confidence and control and preparing the way for the next phase of digital finance.
By tying trading, asset management and intelligent services together in a more unified experience, the update lays a base for further platform development, according to the company.
