  • The white paper for REAL Finance’s $ASSET has been entered into ESMA’s MiCA register.
  • Through the ESMA listing, $ASSET obtains a uniform disclosure reference across Europe.
  • REAL Finance aims for over €3.5 billon in tokenised assets throughout Europe.

The $ASSET token, which is issued by Real Technologies Inc. for the REAL Finance network, now has its crypto-asset white paper on the European Securities and Markets Authority’s Interim MiCA Register. This provides a centralised disclosure reference under EU crypto regulations.

The entry is placed in the section of the register for crypto-assets that are not asset-referenced tokens or e-money tokens, a category covered by Title II of MiCA.

ESMA emphasises that the white papers in the register have not undergone review or approval by any EU competent authority. The issuer therefore bears full responsibility for the content.

MiCA listing adds a regulatory reference

The listing gives REAL Finance a single disclosure reference that exchanges, institutions, and other parties can use when evaluating $ASSET across the European Economic Area.

This follows the token’s debut on Kraken, which began trading on April 30. According to REAL Finance, $ASSET has also been available on KuCoin and MEXC since April.

“Being listed in ESMA’s Interim MiCA Register gives institutions and exchanges a single, transparent reference for evaluating $ASSET instead of thirty separate national processes. It’s a foundational step for how we want to operate in Europe,” said Ivo Grigorov, CEO of REAL Finance.

REAL Finance noted that the notification covers a different aspect than exchange access. It offers standardised regulatory disclosure, but does not assure that any platform will list or continue to support the token.

REAL Finance pushes deeper into tokenised assets

REAL Finance is steering its network toward the tokenisation of real-world financial assets, a sector that is drawing increasing interest from banks, asset managers, and regulators.

According to the company, it plans to tokenise over €3.5 billion in assets via its European ecosystem. It is collaborating with regulated partners such as Austria’s Wiener Privatbank on custody and structuring.

The entry in the MiCA register does not constitute regulatory approval for $ASSET. ESMA clearly says that white papers in the register are not reviewed or endorsed by competent authorities.

Real Technologies additionally stated that each trading venue keeps the discretion to decide on listings.

This distinction matters because MiCA introduces more standardised disclosure to Europe’s crypto market, but does not make white-paper publication an official endorsement for investment.
