Spot XRP exchange-traded funds drew $110.49 million in net inflows during the week ending August 28, making it the largest weekly intake of 2026 by a wide margin.

This inflow lifted cumulative net inflows to $1.66 billion, while net assets across the fund group rose to $1.44 billion.

XRP ETFs Set New Weekly Inflow Record for 2026

The earlier part of 2026 saw much lower activity. Negative inflow weeks occurred in late January, mid-March, and briefly in July, followed by a near-flat period through early August until this week's surge.

Although the $110.49 million intake is the highest weekly figure of 2026, it remains below the record of $243.95 million achieved in late November 2025.

Against the 2026 backdrop alone, this week's inflow more than doubled the prior best of $60.5 million from mid-May, per SoSoValue data. Trading volume also surged, with $363.03 million in turnover, the highest since the funds debuted.

On that same day, XRP ETFs recorded $26.20 million in net inflows, whereas Bitcoin funds saw $201.81 million in net outflows, and Ethereum funds lost $102.18 million. This underscores XRP's relatively steady institutional interest even amid significant selling in Bitcoin.

XRP Price Retreats from $1.70 Resistance Level

XRP's price did not follow the inflow spike this week. On August 29, the token was at roughly $1.38, based on CoinGecko data, having fallen 2.3% in the last 24 hours and 7.8% over the previous week. It had briefly approached resistance around $1.70 earlier in the period before retreating sharply.

The divergence is notable. Institutional inflows accelerated even as the token's price declined, pointing to possible accumulation on weakness rather than following price momentum.

Net assets across the ETF group almost tripled in one week, rising from about $933 million to $1.44 billion, as the fresh capital poured in despite the price decline.

It is uncertain whether this inflow rate will persist. Earlier in 2026, large inflow weeks were sometimes followed by extended periods of weak demand. Moreover, XRP remains in a corrective phase after its recent rally toward $1.66, currently about 8% below that level.
