Justin Sun says AI and quantum computing threats make him bearish on Bitcoin

Ripple and Stripe-owned Privy have partnered to bring embedded wallets and AI agent payments to the XRP Ledger, with about 14 million such payments processed.
A Stripe-owned company, Privy, has joined Ripple in a push to expand agentic commerce by bringing embedded wallets and AI-driven payments to the XRP Ledger.
The arrangement points to a future in which software agents handle payments for services without any manual approval.
Broadening access to XRPL, from everyday payments to agentic commerce.
Weâre partnering with @privy_io, a Stripe company, to bring embedded wallets to the XRP Ledger. Developers will be able to build payment experiences with XRP, RLUSD and other digital assets on XRPL directlyâŠâ Ripple (@Ripple) October 13, 2026
Agentic commerce refers to purchases that AI agents make for a user, such as paying for data, computing power and software. XRPL is a public blockchain where payments settle in XRP and Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin.
Through the collaboration, developers can create payment applications using XRP, RLUSD and other assets without making users manage private keys.
Privy's programmable wallets take care of wallet creation, user approvals and embedded crypto payments within apps. The partnership builds on Ripple's AI Starter Kit, introduced in June, to help developers construct autonomous payment applications.
At the heart of the deal is x402, an open payment protocol meant for automated software-to-software transactions. An AI agent could purchase data access, settle the payment on XRPL and receive the service right away.
Ripple says agent payments are already sizeable. Roughly 14 million of them have been processed on XRPL, amounting to about 25% of network activity, compared with 1 million in July.
These payments are mostly small in size, signalling adoption rather than value.
The partnership could put the XRP Ledger at the centre of machine-to-machine commerce as a settlement layer. Such features might make automated payments simpler for businesses to manage. What happens to the price, though, is still uncertain.
XRP changed hands at approximately $1.37 on October 13, staying within a band of $1.31 to $1.38. The token was up roughly 0.31% in the previous day, placing its market cap near $86.7 billion.
A sustained move would depend on broader market conditions and further uptake of these tools. For developers, the real test is whether the tools attract commercial use beyond early experiments. Adoption numbers should serve as a useful gauge.
