The community-governed TRON DAO, which focuses on advancing internet decentralization via blockchain and dApps, has announced highlights from its State of TRON Q3 2026 ecosystem report.

The report covers network activity, stablecoin settlement, liquidity, tokenomics, developer activity, decentralization and protocol governance for Q3 2026.

In Q3 2026, TRON exceeded $30 trillion in cumulative transaction volume, a milestone for the stablecoin settlement and digital-asset transfer network. Stablecoin supply and total value locked rose further, active addresses increased, and transaction activity stayed largely consistent.

Key Insights

  • Cumulative transaction volume on TRON topped $30 trillion in Q3. Stablecoin settlements hit $2.21 trillion in the period, and average daily volume increased 3.9% quarter-over-quarter to $24.05 billion.
  • On September 9, 2026, Canary Capital introduced the Canary Staked TRX ETF (TRXS). The ETF tracks the spot price of TRX—TRON's native utility and governance token—plus passive net staking rewards that show up in the fund's daily net asset value. To mark the launch, members of TRON DAO rang the Cboe Closing Bell in Chicago on September 29.
  • TRON broadened its ecosystem partnerships in Q3 2026, adding Anchorage Digital, Bitnomial, Backpack, Ethena and Ducat for institutional custody and staking, new trading venues and digital dollar offerings. Payment, wallet, cross-chain and developer integrations further widened access and reinforced the foundation for payment, treasury and DeFi applications.
  • Stablecoin supply and total value locked both grew. Combined USDT and USDD supply stood at $93.88 billion, a 5.5% rise from Q2. TVL including staking reached $28.21 billion, while DeFi TVL (excluding staking) hit $13.05 billion.
  • The number of active addresses grew while transaction frequency remained stable. Average rolling monthly active addresses climbed 9.8% to 18 million.
  • Network fee income declined. Total fees in Q3 were $701.4 million, or $7.62 million per day, a 4.0% decrease from Q2. The average daily transaction fee slipped from $0.668 to $0.643.

TRON's ecosystem kept expanding in Q3 through new integrations across institutional services, trading, stablecoins, payments, wallets and developer infrastructure. Anchorage Digital began providing TRX staking and TRC-20 custody; Bitnomial and Backpack broadened TRX market access. Ethena launched USDe and sUSDe on TRON, and Ducat linked its Bitcoin-backed financial system to the network's stablecoin ecosystem.

New user and developer features arrived in Q3. MoonPay enabled gasless transactions via Trust Wallet, eliminating the need to hold TRX for network fees, and Bitcoin.com Wallet added native TRX and USDT-TRC20 support. MetaMask connectivity was extended across B.AI, SUN.io, JustLend DAO and BitTorrent; Fireblocks Flow began supporting payments from TRON wallets. Eco and STON.fi improved cross-chain stablecoin connectivity, and KiiChain tied TRON assets into its round-the-clock foreign-exchange and payment system. On the developer side, Privy broadened wallet, transaction and policy-management capabilities, and OpenZeppelin brought its smart contract libraries and security tools to the network. These integrations collectively reinforced the foundation for payments, treasury management and DeFi applications on TRON.

The Q3 developments highlight ongoing expansion in stablecoin settlement, liquidity, network activity and ecosystem infrastructure, pointing to persistent demand for TRON's financial services. As these trends continue, TRON heads into Q4 with a more entrenched position in global stablecoin settlement and digital asset activity.
