Wallet Turns $2,972 into $2.1M in Under 12 Hours

A new wallet turned $2,972 into $2.1M in 12 hours trading MEME token, a Robinhood Chain meme coin inspired by AMC.

On-chain data from Lookonchain shows that a wallet created just recently transformed about $2,972 into over $2.1 million in less than half a day.

The bet was placed on MEME, a Robinhood Chain token drawing inspiration from AMC Entertainment's stock. The early entry yielded a reported 713x gain.

How the Trade Reportedly Played Out

The wallet, starting with 0xc740, was only 21 days old, Lookonchain reported. Prior to this move, its owner had executed trades on a mere eight tokens.

The trader made a single notable purchase: about $2,972 for 16.11 million MEME tokens. Under 12 hours later, that stake was worth over $2.1 million.

This guy is so lucky!

He created wallet 0xc740 21 days ago, traded only 8 tokens, and caught $MEME early today, making $2.1M+ in less than 12 hours – a 713x return!

By the time Lookonchain posted, some profit had been taken: 750,000 tokens sold for about $85,300. The remaining 15.36 million tokens, worth around $2.03 million, remained unrealized and exposed to further price swings.

Why MEME Suddenly Exploded 3,100x

The rally can be traced to a dispute around Robinhood's tokenized stock offering. Over 63 days, the stock-token DEX had accumulated more than $3 billion in volume, providing tokenized access to over 190 firms, AMC among them.

AMC's CEO Adam Aron voiced opposition, describing the practice as contemptible, outrageous and disgusting, and said external securities lawyers were looking into the matter.

Robinhood apparently is behind an effort related to “tokenized real-world assets including Stock Tokens” for AMC Entertainment (and supposedly 190+ other companies). They are not registered under U.S. securities laws !!!!!!

The backlash inspired a community joke that reinterpreted the AMC ticker as "A Meme Coin," directly birthing the MEME token.

MEME then rocketed over 3,100x in one day, based on GMGN figures cited by Odaily, lifting its market cap above $60 million.

Because it is an event-driven meme coin linked to an ongoing public spat, it is likely to stay volatile as the Robinhood-AMC saga evolves.

$MEME just became THE MAIN character on Robinhood Chain

Why Stories Like This Remain the Exception, Not the Rule

Like most meme coins, MEME lacks any underlying product or conventional fundamentals, even if it takes cues from a real stock. Its price is driven mostly by story, social media buzz, and timing.

Lookonchain labeled the trader "so lucky," a sentiment that mirrors the broader crypto view on such gains. Returns of 713x are genuinely uncommon.

The same volatility that transforms a few thousand into millions in hours can also obliterate most positions entered later in the same rally.

As MEME and the wider Robinhood-AMC controversy develop, this case highlights both the rare extreme upside meme coins can offer and the much more frequent losses that seldom get reported.
