Bitway (BTW), Venice Token (VVV) and Filecoin (FIL) recorded the biggest seven-day increases among the top 100 cryptocurrencies. Beyond their ranking on the weekly leaderboard, these three altcoins share little in common.

BTW tops the list with a 43.2% weekly rise, yet its technical picture offers the weakest confirmation among the trio. Filecoin posted the smallest gain, but its nearest support level is much closer and its trading volume is the highest.

Top 3 Altcoins: Bitway (BTW) Stalls After a 43% Weekly Run

BTW is changing hands near $0.70 following a 43.2% advance over the past seven days. Bitway operates a proof-of-stake network called Bitway Ledger, where BTW functions as both a gas and governance token.

The daily price chart shows a rejection at the resistance zone between $0.75 and $0.78. Today's candle recorded a 46% swing, ranging from a low of $0.5439 to a high of $0.7944.

Volume during the September breakout has stayed below the levels seen in June and July. Weakening participation has previously signaled vulnerability in other altcoins this year.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is displaying the first bearish divergence of the current uptrend. While the price has risen roughly 75% since mid-August, the RSI has dropped from around 85 to the low 70s.

Key support is located at $0.48, which is approximately 31% below the current trading price. A more significant pullback could potentially retest the $0.15 level.

Venice Token (VVV) Retests Its Previous Record High

VVV is trading near $22.33 after gaining 33.5% over the week. The token has fallen 26.7% from its all-time high of $29.288 set on September 9.

That decline found support precisely at the previous peak of $21.469 from June 3. The 0.236 Fibonacci retracement level at $22.806 reinforces this same area.

Today's trading session tested this level directly. The price opened at $21.463, dipped to a low of $21.191, and then recovered above the support band.

The RSI is near 60 without any bearish divergence. However, the percentage gains between successive record highs are decreasing, from 115.6% down to 36.4%.

Filecoin (FIL) Tests $1 on the Strongest Volume

Filecoin is trading near $0.99 after climbing 61.3% from its August 18 low of $0.6095. Daily trading volume reached $420 million against a market capitalization of $823 million.

That 51% volume-to-market-cap ratio is the highest among this week's top performers. Consequently, the uptrend has significantly stronger confirmation than the other two altcoins.

The price broke through the $0.80 level, which corresponds to the 0.236 Fibonacci retracement. It then touched $1.0370 earlier today before pulling back slightly.

The 0.5 Fibonacci retracement at $0.9668 is now providing immediate support. Above that, the next resistance level stands at $1.0511.

What Separates the Top 3 Altcoins This Week

Weekly performance and chart quality moved in opposite directions. BTW recorded the largest gain, yet its nearest support is 31% below on declining volume.

FIL posted the smallest increase, but its support is less than 2% beneath the current price and turnover confirms the move. VVV occupies the middle ground, testing a level that has already proven supportive once before.
