The Foundation's token issuer has removed 1.1 million GRVT tokens from circulation, with four launches planned that will culminate in Grvt 2.0 this November.

Grvt has confirmed the completion of its initial GRVT token buyback and burn, paired with a roadmap outlining four product releases aimed at broadening yield opportunities and global market access for users.

The Foundation's token issuer acquired 1.1 million GRVT tokens on the open market and permanently destroyed them, wiping out nearly 1% of the circulating supply as of the purchase date.

This transaction represents the first of five steps on the path to Grvt 2.0, a refreshed self-custodial investing and trading platform set to arrive at the close of November 2026.

GRVT Buyback Cuts Circulating Supply by Almost 1%

The Foundation's token issuer plans to carry out further buybacks on a monthly cadence, though the exact timing and scale of each round will be determined solely at its own discretion.

Every round is handled through a separate execution partner. The tokens bought are sent to a designated burn address, effectively removing them from circulation permanently.

Users can check transactions on the Grvt buyback dashboard, which lists tokens purchased and burned, their proportion of circulating supply, total burn counts, and transaction hashes.

“The GRVT token is an important part of the ecosystem we’re building,” said Hong, co-founder and CEO of Grvt. “We welcome the issuer’s buybacks as a sign of long-term commitment to the ecosystem and community. The program introduces a mechanism aimed at reducing circulating supply as Grvt prepares for its next phase of development.”

Token burns lower the number of tokens in circulation but do not assure future price increases. The GRVT token carries no ownership, profit, or other economic rights.

What's Next for Grvt Users

Grvt's roadmap includes four additional milestones spread from late October through the end of November 2026.

Grvt Earn: Target Yields up to 11%

Set for the end of October, Grvt Earn will offer yield opportunities backed by tokenized assets.

Potential returns are anticipated to come from cash flows of the underlying assets, which could include interest, premiums, and invoice-related income. Grvt will reveal the asset-supplying partners when the product launches.

The target yield of up to 11% is not assured. Actual returns hinge on the specific assets and the risks they involve.

Stable Funding Perps: Zero-Fee Trading in RWA Markets

Expected in November, Stable Funding Perps will offer perpetual futures tied to stocks, commodities, foreign exchange, and indices.

These contracts are designed to have no trading fees and to charge funding just once a day, instead of the more frequent intervals common to most perpetual futures.

Grvt intends to surpass 1,000 markets by the end of December 2026.

Yield as Margin: Backing Trades While Earning

Also slated for November, Yield as Margin will let eligible Grvt Earn balances be used as trading margin while still generating yield.

This aims to cut down on the need to shift capital between distinct earning and trading products, depending on applicable product terms and risk parameters.

Grvt 2.0: One Balance for Earning and Trading

The final step, due at the end of November, will bring these features together in a redesigned app.

Users will be able to tap yield opportunities and trade across markets through a single self-custodial balance. The rollout will also unveil a new name, visual identity, and the platform's 2027 roadmap.

Why Grvt Is Targeting Idle Capital

The roadmap follows a survey of Grvt traders conducted earlier in 2026.

Six out of ten respondents said at least a quarter of their funds on the platform were unutilized, and many mentioned shifting assets elsewhere to chase yields of 8% or more.

The results underscore a dilemma for active traders: capital reserved for trading may not earn yield, while funds locked in yield products may not be immediately accessible for trades.

“Traders shouldn’t have to choose between putting their capital to work and keeping it ready to trade,” Hong said. “Grvt 2.0 is designed so the same balance can support both activities, without requiring users to move assets between separate products or give up self-custody.”

The platform currently supports around 200 cryptocurrency and real-world asset perpetual futures markets.

With the upcoming introduction of Earn, Stable Funding Perps, and Yield as Margin, Grvt seeks to extend its offerings beyond trading into a more unified approach to capital management and deployment.

Additional information can be found in the full announcement.
