Crypto Platforms Are Chasing Stock Traders as 2027 Approaches

XT Exchange now connects a single USDT balance to crypto, equity exposure, event markets and payments, labeling each product clearly.
A single balance on XT Exchange now covers crypto markets, equity price exposure, everyday payments and event outcomes, with every destination labeled for exactly what it is.
Imagine one USDT balance held in an XT Exchange account. That balance could be used to purchase bitcoin. It could also open leveraged exposure to the share price of a manufacturer listed in the US. Or it could be used to hold a token tied to the Nasdaq-100. Scanning a QR code at lunch could draw on the same funds. A Yes share on whether a specified event happens by a certain date is another possible purchase.
One balance, five possible actions. Beneath them sit five separate financial systems, each operating with its own settlement rules, its own counterparties and its own idea of what the user ultimately owns. That is what calling an exchange a gateway now conveys. The term tends to be understood as a statement about scale. More precisely, it is a statement about connectivity, and a gateway works best when the person passing through it knows precisely where every door goes.
The growth is tangible and can be dated with precision. Tokenized equity products arrived on XT Exchange's spot market in January 2026, among them instruments tracking Philip Morris, UnitedHealth, a Vanguard fund and the Nasdaq-100. Eight USDT-margined perpetual futures tied to US-listed companies and funds followed in July 2026, including Caterpillar, Texas Instruments and Take-Two Interactive, with up to 25x leverage. An event-market venue, whose markets settle based on an external source, opened in May 2026. Those sit alongside spot and margin trading, plus XT Pay, which allows eligible users in supported territories to pay participating merchants out of a USDT balance, with a third-party provider handling settlement to the merchant in local currency.
As a list, that looks like a catalogue. Look at the structure instead and something more interesting emerges: an account that now spans at least four distinct settlement worlds. A spot trade is settled on the exchange's own books. A perpetual future settles in USDT against a reference price, carrying funding and liquidation rules. A prediction market resolves according to an external source and an agreed outcome. A payment is settled in local currency by a payment company into a merchant's ordinary banking arrangements. None of these processes is a variation of another.
The clearest need for a distinction is between the two traditional-market products, since they are the easiest to mistake for each other. A tokenized equity product and a perpetual future that references an equity can display the same company name on one screen. They are nevertheless different instruments. XT calls its tokenized stock products fully collateralized, freely transferable instruments that follow the price of publicly traded shares: tracking, not share ownership. The perpetual contracts are labeled as leveraged derivative contracts, not direct equity ownership. Neither grants the rights attached to holding shares, and neither is presented as doing so.
Someone seeking exposure to a company's share price can be satisfied by either product. Someone who wants to own a piece of the company will not be. The display cannot draw that line by itself; the product description does, and XT's wording is designed specifically for that job.
"Every product we add gets described for exactly what it is," said Arman Achmed, COO of XT Exchange. "If a user can’t say in one sentence what they’re holding and what moves its value, we haven’t finished building it."
The same principle holds for event markets. A price attached to an event reflects a pooled expectation that shifts with participant trading, not a measure of what will actually occur. The eventual outcome is set by a resolution process external to the exchange, a structural feature XT makes plain from the start.
This is where the gateway idea proves its usefulness. XT's method has been to place the distinctions in the product descriptions: tokenized stocks follow a price, perpetuals function as leveraged derivative contracts, event markets settle against an external source, and payments are handled by a provider in local currency. Every label describes a different connection between the user and what appears on screen, and each one is given before the trade, not after.
Precision is what gives breadth its value. A larger set of instruments offers more ways to take a position, and someone who can state what they purchased, what drives its value, who settles it and what happens if the tracked asset moves the wrong way is someone who can handle all of them. An account that spans four settlement worlds, explaining each as it goes, amounts to a wider financial world in practical terms: more of a person's financial affairs can be managed from one location, with the mechanics of every part visible.
The wider financial world really is available. It arrives door by door, and each door leads to a different structure. XT Exchange's response has been to put a label on every door.
XT Exchange, launched in 2018, operates as a worldwide digital asset trading platform with more than 12 million registered users in over 200 countries and regions. The platform's offerings cover spot, margin and futures trading, TradFi market exposure, a real-world asset marketplace and everyday payments via XT Pay. With Xplore Crypto Trade with Trust as its guiding principle, the company is entering its ninth year with Build the NeXT, emphasizing trust, broader market access and practical applications of digital assets.
