JPMorgan raised its Meta price target to $920 after Muse AI agent showed strong growth, with shares up 30% in September.
On Thursday, JPMorgan increased its price target for Meta Platforms stock from $820 to $920 while keeping an overweight rating. The firm believes that Meta's newly unveiled Muse agent has the potential to become the most popular consumer AI application since ChatGPT.
The updated target suggests roughly 18% upside from Meta's closing price on Thursday. The announcement came a day after Meta's Connect conference, where the company introduced a series of Muse upgrades.
Meta shares have risen over 30% during September, setting them on track for their best month since July 2013.
The largest single-day jump occurred on September 21, when the stock surged 11% to close at $741.25. That was Meta's biggest daily gain since April 2025.
On Thursday, Meta's stock finished up 4.5% at $777.59. According to LSEG data, 57 out of 63 analysts covering the company give it a buy or strong buy rating.
The latest price targets come after Muse launched on September 8. The personal AI agent can send emails, book travel, and handle purchases. It operates on Muse Spark, Meta's multimodal model.
Opening access for developers to build Muse connectors. You bring the API — Muse brings the agent, the browser, and the context of what the person actually wants. People reach your service just by asking for it, and their agent takes it from there.

JPMorgan analyst Doug Anmuth noted that Muse has started strongly and is growing rapidly. He also said Meta is advancing toward superintelligence.
According to the bank, Muse integrated with over 2,000 applications within two weeks. It also has key partnerships with Walmart, Best Buy, Sephora, and Wayfair.
“…we expect Muse engagements to be handled less through browsing or calling, and more through agent-to-agent interactions. Meta will then be able to monetize on a take-rate or commission model,” the note read. “While it is still early, we believe that Muse has the potential to become the most widely used consumer AI application since ChatGPT.”
Wells Fargo had previously expressed similar optimism. Analyst Ken Gawrelski increased his target to $796 from $640, pointing to early Muse demand. The app temporarily reached the top of Apple's US App Store free apps chart.
Later in 2026, Meta intends to release Muse Confidential VM, a virtual machine that encrypts user data with a key exclusive to users. The company also introduced Muse Charm, a compact device providing access to Muse.
According to reports, the device is expected to ship during the holiday season. Actual usage data will determine whether JPMorgan's comparison to ChatGPT proves accurate.
