Palantir reaches $190, its highest in a year

Palantir stock hit $190, a yearly high, after CEO meetings with European leaders, a U.S. Army contract, and a Chipotle pilot.

Palantir Technologies shares surpassed $190 on September 23, 2026. That was its highest price in nearly twelve months, extending a rally driven by three separate factors.

The stock gained more than 3.5% during the day, reflecting fresh confidence in both its government and business growth drivers.

Why Palantir shares are surging this week

A catalyst is a specific event or announcement that produces a clear change in a stock's price. For Palantir, three distinct catalysts occurred within a few days of each other.

CEO Alex Karp met this week in New York with Polish President Karol Nawrocki and Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda.

The talks covered increased investment and possible technology centres for NATO's eastern flank. Lithuanian officials said the country could become a regional hub for defence and security technology.

Separately, the U.S. Army gave Palantir a $48.1 million contract to create an enterprise ammunition management system. The platform will replace nine older systems with one unified view covering planning, storage and distribution across the full munitions lifecycle.

Chipotle also confirmed it is trialling a food safety platform built on Palantir’s Foundry software. The system aggregates inspection scores and health data to flag risk at individual restaurant locations.

Will Palantir's momentum carry it above $200?

The current run extends beyond those three deals. This week, Palantir also announced new partnerships with NVIDIA, Nebius and Method Security, and expanded its deployment with Fujitsu across enterprise networks in Japan.

Wall Street took note. DA Davidson and UBS both lifted their price targets for the stock, citing faster adoption of Palantir’s Artificial Intelligence Platform and stronger U.S. sovereign AI demand.

Together, these moves show Palantir deepening its importance across defence, government and everyday commercial operations at the same time. European geopolitical engagement, a concrete logistics contract and tangible retail adoption all point in the same direction.

Whether that combined momentum pushes the stock toward $200 is still an open question. Much depends on how these partnerships produce revenue over the coming quarters.

For now, investors appear willing to reward Palantir’s broadening footprint. That footprint now spans markets that, until recently, seemed unrelated to its core business.
