Solana Co-Founder Proposes Nvidia Trade Route via Fartcoin
Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko suggests a Jupiter trade route through Fartcoin for tokenized Nvidia stocks to set NBBO prices.
Pons (PONS) jumped roughly 41% to a record $0.73 after a Uniswap Labs purchase disclosure, while traders posted sharply different results.
Pons (PONS) rose roughly 41% in a day, reaching a record $0.73 on Friday after Uniswap Labs disclosed a purchase of the token.
The all-time high extends a rally that has pushed the meme coin up 2534.7% in the past month and caused sharp divisions among traders.
Pons said the deal strengthens the teams' existing relationship. Neither party disclosed the purchase amount or the price paid.
The acquisition is significant because the two projects are direct competitors. Uniswap Labs launched its Pools launchpad on the Robinhood Chain in early August, putting it on the same chain in direct competition with Pons.
PONS had already marked a record high the previous day after being added to Binance Alpha, and that run has been extended since.
CoinGecko data puts the token's seven-day gain at 407.70%. Other launchpad tokens rose 5.70% in the same period, compared with a 0.80% rise for the entire crypto market.
INSIGHT: Uniswap Labs’ recent acquisition of $PONS has pushed the token up 41%, hitting a new ATH of $0.73.

The rally has been kind to holders and rough on sellers. According to Lookonchain, trader Unipcs spent $67,700 on 10.9 million PONS and has sold none, making the holding worth $7.52 million, a 110x return.
A different trader, 0xbb94, made an early exit instead. The wallet bought 7.82 million PONS for $302,600 and sold them for $231,300 after a 20% decline, forgoing $5.3 million in gains that came later.

Supply mechanics are also lending support. Pons reports that 29.34% of the total PONS supply has been burned, with 80% of protocol fees funding automated token accumulation.
Buybacks of this kind have propped up prices elsewhere in crypto. Even so, the effect of a buyback-and-burn program on price rests on both whether the mechanism exists and how large it is. In a highly liquid market, a relatively small buyback may not shift much.
A larger program that takes a meaningful chunk of the circulating supply out of the market, in contrast, can produce stronger upward pressure, particularly if demand stays constant. Sustained launchpad activity is therefore the variable to watch.
