Arc tokens tumble after trader backlash over builder's nationality on livestream
Traders sold Arc tokens after a livestream showed an Indian developer, sparking racist backlash despite no link to the tokens.
Trump and Melania's memecoins have plunged over 95% from their highs, with Trump's down 97% and Melania's down 99%.
Donald and Melania Trump's memecoins have each fallen 97% and 99% respectively from their peak prices.
$TRUMP hit its peak of roughly $75 per token on January 19, 2025, and has slid steadily ever since. At present it changes hands at about $2.
Melania's memecoin reached its peak of about $14 on January 20, 2025. It is now worth $0.1.
Unsurprisingly, the president's coin has fared better than his wife's, probably thanks to the relentless media coverage the president gets. But the gap might also reflect the fact that the token has run two giveaways so far, with a third on the way.
TRUMP memecoin may be doing poorly, but MELANIA is an atrocity

While no US law enforcement agency has probed the firm behind the Donald Trump Coin Club, the setup certainly reeks of quid pro quo.
In April 2025, the top 220 $TRUMP holders scored an invite to a private dinner with the president.
Among those who showed up were Justin Sun, Evgeny Gaevoy, and Lamar Odom. Whether they managed to lobby the president for new laws or executive orders during their time with him remains an open question.
A year on, top Coin Club holders got to attend a private bash at Mar-a-lago featuring Tony Robbins and Mike Tyson as speakers.
Not long after, the same club members had a shot at box seats to the World Cup Final.
Now the Coin Club is dangling another seat giveaway, this time for October's F1 series in Singapore. Word has it the president will skip this one.
Despite all these antics, $TRUMP keeps grinding toward $0, with trading volumes still sinking.

Melania's memecoin has lived a very different life.
Even after a quick pop once it was publicly acknowledged as hers, interest evaporated almost immediately.
A big chunk of the reason for the freefall and the total failure to bounce back is that Melania never mentioned the coin again, offered no gimmicks or giveaways for holders, and gave no way to buy in.
Her coin took just one month to shed 90% of its value, and it has kept bleeding out ever since.
Anyone who put money into either coin expecting a profit has surely had those hopes crushed.
