It seems Trump may have seen unfavorable polling numbers this morning.

I hope everyone realizes that price increases throughout America were caused by Sleepy Joe Biden and the Biden Administration, not by “TRUMP.” Even Oil was higher under Biden than it is right now, and we prevented Iran from having a Nuclear Weapon! With the temporary exception of Oil, prices are coming down sharply, and Oil will drop like a rock as soon as the Military Conflict with Iran is over, and that will not be long. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

He has been using the "Iran war will end soon" line for months, so this is unlikely to change minds. However, last week he claimed the conflict would last until after the midterms, which sent oil markets surging. Now he is trying to reverse that narrative. Meanwhile, Iran appears content to let oil prices climb daily, continuing to demand the full MOU, including Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon—something that shows no signs of happening. There are no indications of genuine negotiations right now, but as seen throughout this conflict, talks can emerge behind the scenes or come together quickly. Yet, past agreements have failed to hold.

WTI crude was last trading up $2.76 at $102.75, more than $2 off the day's highs.
