Trezor Cuts Reseller Network in Supply-Chain Security Push
Trezor is shrinking its reseller network and adding supply-chain checks after reports that a Ledger wallet sold via CryptoBilis contained spyware.
XRP recovered to around $1.374 on Tuesday as derivatives metrics improved, though it remains below key moving-average resistance levels.
Main takeaways
Tuesday brought a modest bounce for XRP, with derivatives positioning having firmed up after the prior session's decline.
The token hovered near $1.374 and looked to be steadying, yet mixed funding-rate readings point to lingering disagreement over how solid the rebound actually is.
Resistance from moving averages above the price and sluggish momentum are still holding back XRP's short-term prospects.
Data from CoinGlass' long-to-short ratios put XRP at 1.09 on Tuesday. A reading above 1 means long positions exceed short positions within the accounts or positions tracked by the metric.
The readings imply a slight bullish lean in both assets. Even so, neither suggests strong conviction, and positioning by itself is no guarantee of further gains.
XRP's funding rate went negative on Monday and was at -0.0055% on Tuesday. Negative funding puts short traders in the position of paying long traders, a sign that bearish bets remain wanted despite the modestly positive long-to-short ratio.
With the price at $1.374, XRP is underneath its 200-day exponential moving average at $1.381 and its 50-day EMA at $1.395.
These averages make up the first hurdles on the way up for the recovery. XRP stays above its 100-day EMA at $1.339, which offers support nearby, but sitting under the other two averages keeps the short-term bias tilted lower.
The Relative Strength Index sits close to 40, a sign that buying pressure is muted but that XRP has not yet slipped into full oversold conditions.
The Moving Average Convergence Divergence indicator is still in negative territory as well, adding to the cautious technical picture.
If the rebound proves durable above both $1.381 and $1.395, near-term technical strain would lessen.
Beyond that cluster of moving averages, the analysis flags additional horizontal resistance higher up at $1.671 and $1.900.
To the downside, the first support reference is the 100-day EMA at $1.339, with $1.300 coming after that.
A lasting move under $1.300 would damage the recovery's structure and put the deeper support zone near $1.000 in sight.
For the moment, the firmer derivatives backdrop provides a degree of support for the bullish case, yet XRP still requires more decisive price action to get back above the moving averages overhead.
