Uniswap Doubles as Robinhood Chain Drives Two-Thirds of Its Fees
Uniswap's price doubled as Robinhood Chain generated two-thirds of its fees, mostly via higher-volume tokenized stock trades.
Bitcoin's price fell below its 100-hour and 200-hour moving averages, reaching a new corrective low near $76,229, as buyers lose momentum.
Bitcoin purchasers enjoyed a solid upward move, but that momentum is fading. To reignite the bullish trend, they must regain two important short-term technical markers and hold those positions.
The upward push gathered speed on August 19, as Bitcoin surged above its 100-day moving average around $66,200 and its 200-day moving average near $69,000 in one session. A moving average filters out price noise to assist traders in assessing the trend. Clearing both averages was a significant bullish signal, and buyers capitalized, driving Bitcoin to $81,455 on August 28âthe highest point since May.
After that high, though, the price has oscillated without pushing the rally further. It has also dipped below and then recovered above its 100-hour and 200-hour moving averages, indicating a more uncertain struggle between bulls and bears.
At present, the key moving averages stand at:
The 100-hour moving average is currently $78,025.
The 200-hour moving average is currently $78,436.
Bitcoin is now trading around $77,148, after hitting a day's low of $76,229, placing it under both averages. This gives sellers the upper hand in the short term.
For novice traders, these moving averages serve as a helpful boundary. Remaining below them keeps the short-term sentiment negative. Rising above both and maintaining that level shifts the view to positive. A quick spike above and immediate drop would be less meaningful.
The daily chart presents another challenge for buyers.
Bitcoin's broader downturn moved from its record peak of $126,272 to a low of $57,735 in late June. The subsequent recovery has recouped part of that drop but has not yet touched the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level around $83,916.
What does this signify? A retracement gauges how much of an earlier price movement has been regained. Here, hitting $83,916 would mean recovering about 38.2% of the fall. I often see that level as the first hurdle buyers need to cross to strengthen the case that the bounce is evolving into a more significant turnaround.
Thus far, buyers have not achieved that.
The August 28 peak of $81,455 also halted within an earlier swing area ranging from $80,560 to $82,833, which dates to November 2025. A swing area is a region where the price has reversed in the past or repeatedly encountered support or resistance. Market participants monitor these zones as they may act as barriers once more.
The inability to break through that zone and subsequently hit the 38.2% retracement suggests that the rally might still be just a bounce inside the larger downtrend. The recovery has been significant, but buyers still need to show more to prove sustained dominance.
Is the current retreat merely an intermission before another advance? Yes. However, the technical markers provide a framework for traders to evaluate that prospect as price movements unfold.
The initial challenge is the moving-average band between $78,025 and $78,436. Moving above both and holding there would return the short-term edge to buyers. After that, focus would shift to the resistance zone of $80,560â$82,833, which includes the recent $81,455 peak, followed by the $83,916 retracement.
Until those initial obstacles are overcome, I give sellers the short-term edge.
The takeaway for newer traders is that you don't need to forecast each price swing. Instead, pinpoint the levels that determine the direction, observe the price reaction, and note when that reaction alters the view. These levels assist in defining risk; they do not ensure the next move.
