Crude oil jumps on report of Iranian missile launches

Today, WTI crude oil futures turned higher amid news that Iran launched ballistic missiles.

Iran announced it was moving to a pre-emptive doctrine, and indications of this are increasing as the country attempts to disrupt shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

On Aug 26, WTI touched a low of $79; it has since climbed back above $90.
