MoneyGram has joined XDC Network as an institutional validator, adding a stake in the payments-focused chain to its expanding blockchain infrastructure roles.
NEAR Protocol dropped 7% to about $4.70, continuing its decline despite $5.42 million in net inflows into the Bitwise NEAR ETF.
Key takeaways
NEAR Protocol lost more than 7% on Tuesday, matching the prior day’s decline. Short-term momentum weakened, offsetting ongoing demand via the exchange-traded fund.
At the time of writing, the token was changing hands near $4.70, still under a cluster of resistance levels around $5.02.
Data from SoSoValue showed that on Monday, the Bitwise NEAR ETF (ticker NRR) posted net inflows of $5.42 million. That buying came after three weeks of continuous inflows that exceeded $80 million.
These inflows point to steady demand via the fund, but they failed to stop the recent price drop. ETF flows are just one channel and do not dictate the overall market direction.
On Monday, NEAR published its Q3 2026 report, which noted expansion in its multichain transaction infrastructure.
Cumulative transaction volume via NEAR Intents reached over $32 billion, roughly 45% more than the figure reported for the prior quarter.
The protocol added that token buybacks accounted for more than $8 million in fees.
Total value locked in the privacy-oriented Confidential Intents hit around $160 million, representing a jump of about 463%.
The numbers indicate growing adoption of NEAR’s infrastructure. Still, network expansion and buybacks do not ensure a swift price recovery.
On the four-hour timeframe, NEAR is trading below its 50-period exponential moving average of $5.0179 and a downward-sloping resistance trendline around $5.0261.
These two levels together present the initial major barrier for buyers trying to revive short-term momentum.
If the price breaks and stays above $5.0261, the recovery argument would gain strength, making the September 28 peak of $5.5780 the next target. After that, the round figure of $6.00 becomes a key upside marker.
As long as NEAR fails to clear this resistance cluster, any bounces are exposed to selling pressure. The daily RSI is hovering near 50, signaling momentum is subdued beneath the neutral midpoint.
The moving average convergence divergence indicator has slipped slightly below its signal line, pointing to waning upward pressure.
These signals call for caution in the near term, but they do not confirm the larger uptrend has ended.
NEAR remains above its 200-period EMA near $4.5513, keeping a key support level in play.
Should the decline deepen, the 200-period EMA around $4.55 acts as the first major support.
Beneath that, horizontal support at $4.4440 is a level that contained selling on October 8. If this area holds, it would back the view that the drop is a correction inside a broader uptrend.
If the price decisively falls through both those supports, the constructive picture would weaken, raising the chance of a deeper fall to $3.9140, the September 19 high.
Currently, NEAR’s prospects depend on buyers protecting support and reclaiming the $5.02 resistance zone, while ETF flows and network growth stay positive.
