BeInCrypto has entered an official partnership with the Government Blockchain Association (GBA) for the GBA's main event, the Future of Money, Governance, and the Law (FoMGL) summit, scheduled from September 29 to October 2, 2026, in Washington, D.C. and New York.
This partnership will coincide with the launch of BeInCrypto's Legal & Regulatory Expert Council. The council will make its public debut during the New York leg of the summit at the United Nations Headquarters, pending final room confirmation.
The GBA's three-day programme begins with discussions on Capitol Hill involving U.S. policymakers, then moves to a full-day summit at the National Press Club that will examine the effects of AI, blockchain, and quantum computing on financial services, covering digital assets, tokenization, and regulatory frameworks. That evening, a cryptopoly event and gala reception will take place at a historic Georgian mansion, where attendees receive movie money and cryptocurrency-themed cards for buying, trading, and selling to win crypto prizes. The programme concludes with the Future of Money, Governance & the Law FinTech Summit in New York.
Among the confirmed speakers are Dino Cataldo Dell’Accio of the UN Joint Staff Pension Fund, Jarod Koopman from the U.S. Treasury and IRS, Landon Zinda of the SEC Crypto Task Force, Thomas Puschnik from the World Bank, Lauren Belive of Ripple, Corey Then of Circle, Robin Cook of Coinbase, Dr. Scott Stornetta, a blockchain co-inventor, Charles Hoskinson of Cardano, Markus Veith of Grant Thornton, and Christopher Bramwell of the Utah State Government, along with many others.
The GBA has members in over 500 government offices worldwide and operates through over 50 working groups. These groups have established the Blockchain Maturity Model (BMM), a framework for assessing the maturity, integrity, and trustworthiness of blockchain solutions. The BMM is showcased by the Blockchain Assurance & Standardization Dynamic Coalition, which is recognized by the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF). The IGF is convened by the UN Secretary-General as a global forum for internet governance dialogue. The GBA connects public-sector requirements with private-sector expertise across a range of blockchain and emerging-technology issues.
The Legal & Regulatory Expert Council brings together senior practitioners who work in areas such as crypto and digital-asset regulation, compliance, tax, financial data, AML and sanctions, and institutional adoption.
The council concentrates on issues related to how digital asset businesses operate across different markets, including selecting the appropriate jurisdiction, navigating new regulatory frameworks, and understanding the implications of tax, market structure, privacy, and cross-border compliance.
At FoMGL, the council will contribute these perspectives to the global policy discussion. BeInCrypto's Global Head of News, Brian McGleenon, will moderate a panel on the state of global crypto regulation. Details of the panel and the council members who will join him on stage will be released before the event.
Both legs of the summit are accessible to the BeInCrypto community. The New York programme at the United Nations Headquarters, pending final room confirmation, is free of charge.
